Lebanon Hills West Trailhead

In 2012, Dakota County opened the brand new parking lot and facilities at the newly branded West Trailhead hire you

In previous years we parked in the gravel lot just to the north of the new parking lot. It was a dust bowl with not much parking and one of the smelliest out houses you ever cam across. Many of us still have fond memories of that lot, but none of us wish it were that way again. Enter the new facilities at the brand new West Trailhead. Put simply, its the kind of offering worthy of the trails around it. This one was built with mountain bikers in mind as well: changing facilities big enough to hold a bike, heated bathrooms also big enough to hold a bike, benches, tables, grills, a bike fix-it stand, and soon our very own fire pit!

The new log features 75 nice wide parking spaces and a pull-through area for demo trucks and other equipment. The old lot sits empty but may someday be used as overflow parking (we can only hope!). Even with the expanded parking lot, there are days you will struggle to find parking. This is a testament to the attraction this trail has become.

The lot has a gate that is closed when trails are wet. Parking in front of the gate or riding anywhere within the trail system (including the skills area) will get you ticketed.
